Three Local Residents Joins Main Street Community Foundation Board of Directors

At Main Street Community Foundation’s 25th Annual Meeting, held virtually in March, the Foundation welcomed three local residents to its Board of Directors. They are: Mark Moriarty of Bristol; Jennifer O’Connor of Southington; and Andrea Wasley of Plainville.

The Board of Directors plays an essential role in guiding the Foundation’s work and these individuals will act as liaisons between their communities and the Foundation.

“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is critical now more than ever that we know the current and emerging needs in each of our communities so that we can respond quickly and effectively,” said Susan Sadecki, President & CEO of Main Street Community Foundation, which serves the communities of Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington and Wolcott. The Foundation has established a COVID-19 Response Fund to rapidly deploy flexible resources to organizations in all communities served affected by the pandemic.

“We are grateful for Mark, Jenn and Andrea for their generous commitment of time and the valuable expertise they bring to the Foundation,” stated Sadecki.

The Community Foundation Board of Directors consists of 21 community leaders charged with ensuring donors’ intentions are fulfilled in perpetuity while meeting the needs of the local communities.
