July 2026 - Published in: 2025 Annual Report - In the five decades of Southington High School’s history, there has never been a girl’s golf team – until now. To kick off the pilot program in 2025, money was raised throughout the community, and MSCF’s Women & Girls Fund joined in to award Southington High School a $500 grant. Thanks to this student- and community-led effort, girl’s golf became an official CIAC-sanctioned sport at the high school in the spring of 2026, giving dozens of girls the opportunity to learn a new sport, play the sport they love and be part of a team.
