Main Street Community Foundation Accepting Grant Applications for its General Grant Cycle
Main Street Community Foundation’s annual general grant cycle is now open and the Foundation welcomes nonprofit organizations serving Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington, and Wolcott to apply for grants. The deadline to apply is March 27, 2026. Grants from MSCF have made a positive impact on hundreds of nonprofits since the Foundation’s establishment in 1995.
Grant requests should fall within the following program areas: basic needs, access to opportunity and vibrant communities, and must benefit residents of MSCF’s service area. Preference will be given to organizations with programs and projects that:
- Respond to changing or emerging needs of the community;
- Leverage or generates other funding or resources;
- Promote collaboration among nonprofit organizations without duplication of efforts; and/or
- Enhance an existing program to encourage sustainability.
In addition to the program areas mentioned above, funds are available for the following specific uses:
- Care and support of animals
- Sports field maintenance in Bristol and Burlington
- Programs and projects benefitting the Burlington community
- Non-sport, noncompetitive programs and activities for children attending elementary and middle schools in Southington
