Main Street Community Foundation Celebrates 10 Years of Improving Lives of Local Men and Boys

The community is invited to join Main Street Community Foundation (MSCF) for the Men & Boys’ Fund 10th Anniversary Men of Value and Purpose (MVP) Celebration! The dinner event will be held on October 1, 2026, at 5:30pm at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington, and will feature a bourbon tasting, a silent auction, and Tom Moore as the guest speaker.

Bristol native and Rutgers men’s basketball Head Coach Steve Pikiell was scheduled to be the guest speaker but will not be able to attend the event as he will be undergoing cancer treatment; he recently announced this through a letter to the community. Steve asked Tom Moore to speak in his place. Tom is the recently retired men’s basketball General Manager and Assistant Coach at UConn.

Tickets for the 10th Anniversary MVP Celebration are $75 per person and can be purchased by sending a check to Main Street Community Foundation, P.O. Box 2702, Bristol, CT 06010. Proceeds from the event support programs that improve the lives of men and boys in Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington and Wolcott.

Thank you to all who supported past MVP events and to all MVPs (Men of Value and Purpose) as we aim to build an even greater future to ensure we can continue to address unmet needs of local men and boys. Because of the community’s generosity for the past decade, Main Street Community Foundation has awarded a total of $99,000 from the Men & Boys' Fund in program and immediate response grants.
