The Evan J. Chyun Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2022 and honors the memory of Evan J. Chyun who passed away four days before his 40^th birthday on May 29, 2022 following a tragic automobile accident. Evan was a passionate advocate for social justice especially racial and gender equality. A champion for people often ignored or mistreated by the system, he worked as a public defender striving to make the world a better place for all. This scholarship is available to a graduating high school senior, graduate of Bristol Eastern High School or adult learners who graduated from Bristol Eastern High School and are returning to school; applicants must be pursuing undergraduate education at a two-year or four-year college or university.
