The Bristol Sports Hall of Fame Christopher P. Calnan H.O.P.E. (Helping Outstanding People Excel) Scholarship Fund was established in 2025 with a generous donation from John “Jay” Calnan for the purpose of awarding scholarships in memory of his brother Christopher P. Calnan. Scholarships will be awarded annually to graduating seniors needing financial assistance from Bristol Central High School, Bristol Eastern High School or Saint Paul Catholic High School who have earned at least three varsity letters during their secondary school experience while contributing to Bristol's sports heritage.
