GRANTS

Since our founding in 1995, the Foundation’s grant programs are the result of the generosity of many wonderful donors. Donors give to the Foundation with the confidence of knowing that their gifts will be protected with competent, prudent administration and responsibly distributed to meet the changing needs of the community. A gift made now or through a bequest becomes a lasting resource to fund projects and programs now and for generations to come.

The Foundation keeps abreast of emerging needs and opportunities in our communities – providing the information needed to make strategic and effective grant making decisions. Programs and policies of the Foundation continually evolve in order to remain responsive to the community.

Main Street Community Foundation Grants Program - We welcome grant applications from any organization serving the Connecticut communities of Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington and Wolcott. An organization must be recognized as a tax-exempt public charity under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Grant requests should fall within the following program areas: Basic Needs, Access to Opportunity and Vibrant Communities.

General guidelines are available for each grant program.
