Mission Statement: To provide a safe and nurturing environment where children and families can reach their highest potential regardless of race, creed, or financial circumstances.

The Family Center, a private nonprofit, has constructed a 23,000 sq. ft. children's museum called Imagine Nation. The museum houses an astronomy exhibit, greenhouse, Cyberlab, ESPN Sports Exhibit, Nature Climbing Exhibit, General Store, Kids Workshop, Dolls of the World Exhibit, "magine That" Art Exhibit, Magnet Go Round, and "hands-on" areas featuring activities like: sand and water, color and light, music, electricity, photography, a weather station, Lego robotics, a soda fountain, and more.

The Family Center currently features positive youth development, social service including the Young Parents Program, educational, Discovery Programs for the Disabled, and childcare programs for children of all abilities. The Family Center facilities include in addition to the museum, a WaveTek wavepool, Calder's Storybook Castle, and NAEYC accreditated childcare facility at Pleasant Street.
