Geographic Area Served: Tunxis Community College enrolls students from 102 of the state's 169 towns. The college's primary service area includes a 13-town region encompassing Avon, Berlin/Kensington, Bristol/Forestville, Burlington, Canton, Farmington, New Britain, Plainville, Simsbury, Southington, Terryville/Plymouth, Thomaston, and Wolcott.

Mission Statement: The Tunxis Community College Foundation and Advisory Board, Inc., supports Tunxis Community College with student scholarships, endowments, program enrichment, faculty and staff professional development, and equipment and facilities acquisitions.

Students benefit primarily from Foundation scholarships to enable them to attend or to remain in college to complete degrees or get professional training for jobs. The Foundation also has supported the college with funds to lease its Bristol Career Center and property adjacent to the college to help increase space for meetings and activities. The Foundation encourages donations from corporations and from individuals, including bequests and other planned giving approaches.
