Mission Statement: The Plainville Association for Retarded Citizens, Inc. (PARC), which has been in existence for more than 50 years, and which serves individuals with developmental disabilities in Plainville and its surrounding communities, has the following mission:

To foster an understanding and acceptance of people with disabilities by:

• Providing information and support services to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families and friends;
  
• Providing education to community members,
• Providing recreational, educational and vocational activities in an environment conducive to independence
