The Main Street Community Foundation is a public charity established in 1995 that brings people together who care deeply about their community and seek to improve its quality of life.We are committed to connecting donors with what they care about through charitable giving. This giving usually takes the form of permanent endowments in which the income will be used in perpetuity to serve the causes and/or groups the donor requests. In addition, the Community Foundation can act as the "umbrella" for a donor's wish to support more than one organization and/or cause with charitable gifts. We currently have approximately 100 permanent charitable funds and there are a variety of ways that we contribute income from these funds back into the community. We also continue to promote philanthropy through educational programs and cooperative projects such as the Community Planned Giving Council.

Donors are encouraged to make both large and small gifts at any time to create a new fund or support one of our existing funds. These gifts can be made from current income or through bequests and other planned giving vehicles and are fully tax deductible.
