Started in late 2006 with a challenge gift from Bristol philanthropist Robert Fiondella to assist these important Bristol youth-based organizations as they finalize plans for a merger in 2007. Mr. Fiondella wished to encourage other citizens who care about the future of these organizations to participate in this effort by offering a challenge match in some cases.
